Morning Serenade

Morning Serenade

Growing up in my house meant there was always a huge collection of books. We had most, if not all, the Dr Suess books, many golden books, and enough random books to fill the shelves. I remember a particular story from one. I think it may have been from one of the golden books called children's verses and rhymes, but it may have been from one of the poetry books.
Anyway, the story was about the birds chirping in the morning before the sun comes up. You see, the birds have to sing to wake up the sun. At some point every morning you can hear the birds raising quite a ruckus. The chirping gets quite loud! This is the birds last ditch effort to wake up the sun! With sunrise accomplished, the birds can settle into their morning songs.

And that's what I love to listen to every morning here in my Shalom Babayit.
